Vintage Challenge

I made today's card for the Always Playing with Paper challenge, which is a vintage theme this week. Ooh, vintage is a tough one for me! I have a hard time with things that aren't straight, clean & neat, and I'd need to stay away from all of those things to achieve a vintage look lol! But, I have to admit I do like this card…it's about as "un-neat" as I'm gonna get though!!

I used Mostly Vintage Decor Stencils (don't forget about that Summer Mini catalog!), along with the Flores Suaves and Because I Care sets. The card stock colors are Very Vanilla and Soft Suede, and the ink is Soft Suede too…I did add a bit of Basic Grey to darken up the edges a bit. I used Neutrals Designer Buttons, Neutrals Brads, Linen Thread and Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, oh yeah and the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware too.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I laughed out loud when I read your post coz it’s just how I feel! I struggled with my entry too. Your card is beautiful, I love the soft colors you used and the combination of the stencils and stamps. It’s just lovely.

  3. Kerin – gorgeous. I love the multiple layers you created with the different stamps and the soft color scheme is perfect. I also like the fact that you tucked the distressed edges behind the ribbon. It appeals to my clean and simple sensibility 🙂
Thank you for joining the Paper Players again this week
