Vase of Roses

I had gotten away from making those beautiful watercolor roses, until I had a class last week on them, now I'm hooked again! So yesterday I decided to try and make an actual vase filled with roses, and this is what I came up with. This card is actually pretty big (6×6" square!), it would fit in an envelope from the Carousel Notes!

I made the vase using the Oval Coluzzle, with the Chocolate Chip patterned Bella Rose paper, then I covered the whole thing with Crystal Effects to make it look ceramic. I cut the base of the vase free can't really see it under the bow anyway.

I did one rose in Pink Pirouette (how I'm going to miss this In Color!!), and the other two were created using Regal Rose ink, all on Shimmery White paper.

I used the leafy patterned paper from Walk in the Park dsp (Occasions Mini Catalog), and ran it through the Big Shot with my Little Leaves die.

The CS colors are Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red, with some paper piercing around the edges. The flowers are up on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow, I get to be the first to tell you what an amazing job you did with this card. Your roses are beautiful! I wish I could have a garden full of so many different shades of roses.
