UDI Inspiration Challenge

When I hopped over to my friend Robin's blog this morning to see what she's been up to, I couldn't help but jump in on the UDI inspiration challenge she designs for! Mmmm, this inspiration looks sooo yummy, and it reminded me of the fun lemonade card I made last year…so I took the challenge literally, and created a watermelon drink! It's so hot & humid today, I could go for one of these 🙂

Here's the inspiration photo:

For my card I used a piece of vellum, 3 1/4 x 4", and I scored the edges to make the angled sides and have a flap to attach the cup to the card with. I sponged Poppy Parade & Melon Mambo all over the back side of the vellum for that yummy watermelon color. I added some limes from the Tart & Tangy set, stamped in Pear Pizzazz. I attached them to the inside of the cup with Mini Glue Dots. For the lime on the edge of the glass, I coated it with Crystal Effects & sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I also made some "ice cubes" out of 1" squares of Whisper White card stock with the edges rounded. I stamped "Cheers to You" from the set of the same name and punched it with a 1" circle punch to hang from the straw like a wine glass charm. Finally I added a strip of Sticky Strip to the top edge of the cup and coated it in Chunky glitter.

Thanks for stopping by!
