Top Note

I finished making up the little packet of card supplies for Robin, which you can see in the post below…and I had the outside pieces of the Top Note Big Shot die leftover. I immediately thought what a nice "picture frame" that would make. I haven't picked up my Bloomin' Beautiful set in a while, you know how you use a set like crazy when you first get it, then it sits on the shelf for some time while you get over over-using it? That's what happened with this set.

For this card, I used watercolor paper, and I adhered my Top Note outline using Dotto. If you've never used Dotto before, you need it! It's a great removable adhesive, so you can stick things in place, work on them, then remove it in a snap! I used my aquapainter, along with Riding Hood Red and Old Olive ink. Then I sponged Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip around the edges of the Top Note outline. I also used the new Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, and how about that cute little mini library clip? I just love them! I won them at our monthly demo meeting, thanks Dawn 🙂 The words are from my new favorite thank you set… I never thought I'd be able to give up Much Appreciated when it retired, but in usual SU! fashion, they've come out with something even better, Thank You Kindly.Oh yeah, and I also used the Bella Rose DP, and Chocolate Chip card stock.

I used to throw away every scrap I had leftover after cutting card stock, that's not happening anymore with my Big Shot!
