Hey stampers 🙂 Today I was trying my hand at a new-to-me technique, called Bokeh. I'm becoming more and more of a distress ink fan, and adding the bokeh technique on top of a distress ink background…oooh fun results! There are a bazillion videos on YouTube, so just pick one out and give it a try!
Here are the two card I made so far, the first one is for The Paper Players challenge, it's a tic-tac-toe challenge, and I used: Any shade of Yellow, Sequins and Polka Dots.
For the card above I used distress inks in Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Riper Persimmon. The sentiment is from THIS set. I stamped my sentiment in Versamark, then embossed with black embossing powder. It seems that black ink alone didn't stand out very much on the busy background. *tip: emboss before adding the bokeh technique! The embossing powder will stick all over your white dots if you do it after*
For the card above I used the same sentiment stamp, but the distress inks I used on this one are Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn. I added some Sprinkles from the Swimming Pool and Blue Jean assortment packs.
I'm off to make this week's card for The Card Concept, see you soon and thanks for stopping by!
