First of all, if you don’t want to see new Stampin’ Up! products, avert your eyes NOW!! If you DO, read on…So I’m waiting in line for Memento Mall, but remember when I told you last night that we got into the convention center?? Well, we did, and we saw some new stuff too! I thought I ought to wait until this morning to post though, so as not to get into trouble…today it’s available for all to see, so you should see it too right???
Of course Stampin’ Up! never scrimps on the details of a display, so there was a LOT to look at in this ONE display box we saw!
New punches!! And how about those new ribbon colors hanging down? The punch 3rd from the left is a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch!
We didn’t see any, but that sign says Vanilla Hodgepodge!!! Yippeeeeee…..
New flower fusion colors?? Love them!!
What’s that big silver thing in the center of this flower? Know what else I saw in this display? Styled Silver Hodgepodge! Here’s hoping!
You know I’ll be back with Memento Mall news, new catty news, and all the happenings later so check back!
Oh my…we are having a blast already! After Kristin and I exchanged our roommate gifts, Donna left surprises at our door for each of us (and tried to sneak away, which did NOT work!) She gave us each these two beautiful bags, and inside one of them was the cutest little bag, filled with the essentials like chapstick (for those of you who know me, that’s my #1 accessory), notebooks, post it flags for our new catty!, and the cutest little bling “k” keychain for my convention bag!! Then the other bag had this adorable little frame in it that she decorated with SU! rub-ons, simply adorable!
Then we headed across the street to the Convention Center, and we actually got IN!!! Woohoo, it is gorgeous…did I mention that there are flags all around Salt Lake City center that have the Celebrate ’08 logo on them? It’s sooo cool! I’ll give you a couple of shots now, and I have more FUN stuff for you to see in tomorrows post, while I’m not-so-patiently waiting for 3 hours for Memento Mall…yes, Kristin has agreed to wait until 6 a.m. to get in line…reluctantly I might add…
I’m officially in Salt Lake City Utah for convention! Woohoo! Up at 4:15 with no problem at all today! How come I can’t do that on a school/work day???? Anywhoo, how exciting!! Our second flight, which went from Chicago to SLC was probably more than half full of stampers!! They were everywhere, and all the other passengers I’m sure thought we were all nuts!
More excitement…my wonderful upline Dawn gave me this adorable journal before I left for convention, and I just love it! I packed it so I can keep notes of all the fun stuff I want to remember! Thanks Dawn 🙂
At the airport I finally met my roommate Kristin, which was also very exciting because we’ve been chatting online for so long…and it seems like we’ve known eachother forever! It’s a convention custom to give your roommates a gift, so looky what Kristin made for me, I’m a lucky girl 🙂
Here’s what I gave to Kristin and Donna today. It’s a Stampin’ Up! coffee mug filled with all the little essentials you need here, like mints, gum, Shout wipes, Advil, tissues, etc.
Donna is my downline, so she does not know this yet, but she’ll be receiving a special gift from me each day we’re at convention! I’ll show you what I gave her each day.
Tomorrow morning we’ll be in line for Memento Mall bright and early, well it may not be that bright since Kristin wants to get up EARLY, like 5 a.m….she’s crazy…luckily I have all night tonight to talk her out of that one! Then after Memento Mall we’ll be picking up our NEW CATALOGS!!!! Later in the afternoon we’ll be touring the home office of SU!, so I’ll be sharing news about that too!
You can see by my counter to the right that convention will be starting just over a day from now!! I will actually be leaving at 5 am tomorrow morning to Salt Lake City! I cannot even wait to see everything that Stampin’ Up! has got in store for us! I will be traveling with my friend Donna, and will finally be meeting my roommate Kristin! Yes, we decided months ago that we had tons in common and would have a great time if we roomed together…who cares that we’ve never met before right? Kristin is from New Jersey, and I’m from Massachusetts, but we’re both in the same Stampin’ Up! “family” tree!
You’ll want to check out my blog beginning on Wednesday if you want to hear all about our adventure!
