Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #159

Woohoo it's Friday, and time for another fabulous sketch from the Stamping 411 blog! Let's get right to it, here's the sketch:

I love this sketch, as I love them all, but this one especially because I got to use lots of layers 🙂 I hope I didn't make it too busy with all that dsp, but I'm really happy with the finished look. Here's my card:

I used the Friends Never Fade stamp set, and I inked up the flower with Pear Pizzazz ink, and rolled the edges in Old Olive ink. I wanted to use Early Espresso for the center, but I didn't have the marker yet, so I stamped the whole flower in Early Espresso on a separate scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut out the center, then adhered it to the Pear Pizzazz flower. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but I covered the center of the flower with chunky glitter.

The card stock colors are Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso, and the dsp is Greenhouse Gala. I used the 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Early Espresso, with a Square Ice Rhinestone Brad.

I hope you'll find time to play along this week, I love looking at all of your fabulous creations!

  1. Great card. I love how the flower matches the D.P., but pops out at the same ttime. Colors are so soft, soothing and yet regal!

  2. Love this card and your blog site just had to sign up to receive your updates 🙂
