Stamper’s Club Treats

We had our monthly stamper's club meeting last night, and here are the treats I made for the girls this month…they seemed to really like them (and wish they hadn't thrown away all of their button and brad containers!!)…I got the idea at LeAnne's blog, and I was so excited to make these for the girls! I filled them with conversation hearts…did you know that the classic candies have different flavors in them now??? As I was making them, fighting every urge to eat a bunch of them, I wondered why they smelled so strongly of a cotton candy? scent….come to find out they have blue raspberry, lemon and sour apple in the bag now! Weird. I think I like the originals better.

Basically you just cover a Stampin' Up! button/brad container (keep in mind that some of the brad containers have divided sections inside, that might be good for an assortment of little treats). I found that one of the circles from the Circles #2 die for the Big Shot fits perfectly so that made them much easier! The Crop-a-Dile makes punching the holes for the straps a snap! Then I just used the 3 hearts punch, and I added some rhinestone brads (removed from the brad and just the rhinestone was stuck to the heart with mini glue dots).

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. CLEVER, CLEVER, CLEVER!! I love it, Kerin! I’ve had an old brad container laying on my desk wondering how I could recycle it. I plan to case you totally! Thanks so much for sharing and have a happy, stamping day!

  2. Kerin, these are cute cute cute…I love ’em!
Insanely, I save all kinds of containers, so I can CASE this!!!!!!! Yay!
I don’t know why but I thought u had said u were not doing Stampers Club meetings anymore… are there any openings for one more person?? :o)

  3. These are adorable and I’m so casing this idea! I have a bazillion of those containers laying around, sometimes I use them for re-inkers when watercoloring, but really do I need 50 of them for that? Too, too cute!
And I agree about the flavors of that candy – bleech! I like the originals better and they are great for us WW folks! Fat Free!

  4. These are so COOL! Thankfully, I never throw anything away, especially something that even remotely resembles a container. I have a bunch of feta cheese and yogurt containers that I just KNOW will come in handy some day!!!! So once I actually use up all of my brads (yikes!) I’ll be sure to save those containers too. Thanks for the wonderful idea.

  5. Love the clever idea. Did you know that these conversation hearts changed flavors and the ONLY place you can get the original flavors is the DOLLAR STORES?? My daughter contacted them because she was so sad about the new yucky flavors (her words) and they emailed her telling her the original flavors are only sold at Dollar Stores now.
Just a tidbit of info for you.
