Paper Players Challenge – Fun with Fabric!

Challenge 36

It's my last week as a guest designer over at The Paper Players and I'm sad for it to end, I've had a blast! The girls on the team are fabulous to work with and oh so talented!!

What a great challenge to end on though, Fun with Fabric!! I have to say this really got me going, before starting my card for this challenge I had an unopened package of SU! fabric just sitting on my desk just waiting for me to give it a try…and I have to admit I was a little afraid of it! But, I've been having a great time stepping out of my comfort zone and playing with it!

Here's what I came up with:

Another item sitting on my stamp table waiting to be used…the Lattice Die…why haven't I used it yet? So I cut my first piece of fabric with the lattice die, but wait, how was I going to adhere this piece of fabric to my card?? Oh those little glue dots just don't stick very well to the fabric, and I don't want to wet my fabric with glue, so I started over. I cut a square of card stock the same size as a piece of fabric that would work for the die, and I put adhesive all over the card stock and stuck my fabric to it, THEN I ran it through the Big Shot, and the piece that came out was perfect for adhering to my card, because it was backed with card stock 🙂

I tore a strip of fabric for behind my focal image, added some buttons to my lattice with mini glue dots, a couple of little tags and some texture, and done! It was very easy!

Won't you hop on over to The Paper Players blog and see what the other team members have created?? I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with too!

  1. A sweet way to use the fabric–and the buttons! Love the little raggedy piece too–just cuteness all around! I am sorry I missed a couple dates to “play” with you—but we are sure glad you graced us with your creativity this month!

  2. Lovely creation Kerin. I love the colours of the fabric and how they pop on the vanilla base! Thank you for your wonderful work as our GD!! I have enjoyed getting to know you better!

  3. This is just so fresh looking, so beautiful! I love your card design, texture, and color combo. And the buttons are adorable too. Great inspiration!!

  4. Kerin this is so pretty and intricut… wow. I haven’t tried any fabric yet, not too confident I guess, but when I see it I really like it.
PS: Thanks for stopping by to view my cards as it really means a lot to me. Hugs.
