Lexicon of Leaves

I really enjoyed making this card today and I hope you like it! I was trying to think of a way to really make the leaf pop…so here's what I came up with. I started with a piece of watercolor paper, and I brushed on Pumpkin Pie, Really Ruse and Ruby Red ink with my Aquapainter (pretty heavily), then I dried it with my heat tool to try and get it to become flat again (it warps when it's drenched with water).

Next I applied Versamark over the whole square of watercolor paper, and then sprinkled on Heat & Stick powder. I melted that with my heat tool, sprinkled on dazzling diamonds glitter, and re-heated it to set the glitter.

I stamped the big leaf image in Black StazOn ink on a window sheet the same size as the glittery watercolor paper. Next I sprayed my glittery watercolor paper with spray adhesive, and pressed my stamped window sheet down onto it.

For the rest of the card I used More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Really Rust, Basic Black and Very Vanilla CS. I used Whisper White taffeta ribbon and I colored it with my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker. I also used some of the vanilla brads from the hodgepodge kit, and I rolled them in my StazOn pad to make them black. I used the Texturz Plates for the Big Shot, and Word Window and Modern Label punches.

Thanks for stopping by!
