Inspired by Nature Sunset

You know how sometimes in the heat of the summer you see that huge, bright sun in the sunset with the gorgeous colors around it? That's what I was thinking of when I was making this card. Every time I see a colorful sunset like this I still think of the old saying (wait a minute, I didn't just call myself old did I?!?)…anyway, the *traditional* saying (does that make me sound less old?!?)…"red sky at night, sailors delight"…and it always seems to come true and a beautiful day awaits the next morning 🙂

In case you want to create a sunset, I created a step-by-step tutorial for Stamping 411 today, so go check it out! It's sooo easy to do, and the results can be very pretty.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Kerin, this is an amazing card! I recently saw one similar but the person made the grass into cat tails! So cute. She used the horizontal slot punch (I think that is what it is called, the ribbon punch that is now retired before I could decide I needed it)… and used what she cut out of the paper as the cat tails!
I love the colors and that sun set is devine!

  2. Beautiful card. I love the this look and do it often with sponge or brayer. AND I LOVE love love the Inspired by Nature. It’s one of my all time favorites; I tire of it.

  3. Kerin,
I love this card, it is so serene. Did you use a special technique on the button as well? On the Stamping 411 do you know how they made the cattails? Both cards are just lovely!
Stampin’ Smiles from Ear to Ear,
    Ann 🙂

  4. Love this card as I loved “your” one with cat tails! This set goes perfect with sunsets and yours are always gorgeous!
