Flourishes Pinter-inspiration challenge

Happy Friday stampers!! Wow this day could not come quick enough this week! Nothing better than a little stamping to start the weekend off right 🙂

Tonight I'm trying a challenge that's new to me, from the Flourishes blog. It's called a Pinter-inspiration challenge, and there's a photo on the blog that inspired this card. I love purple but I don't use it often enough, so this was the perfect chance.

FYI, boy am I happy I didn't check out the design team's inspiration until I finished my card and was determined to post it…their coloring is amazing and I'm feeling a bit inadequate right now!! Of course I colored with Copics, and I'm still working on color combos, so I'm not going to list the colors I used tonight, since there would be about 12 of them to make these simple pansies & leaves lol!!

I used the A Year in Flowers I set from Flourishes. I colored my white satin ribbon (SU!), and also rhinestone brads (SU!) with my BV08 Copic marker. The dsp is also SU!. The sentiment is from the Strawberries set I used the other night, also from Flourishes.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

  1. Just beautiful Karin! And perfectly matched DSP, too. I love water coloring and I love pansies and violas …. we’re blessed to live far enough south that I have them blooming in my backyard all through winter.

  2. Hi Kerin! Such a beautiful card! Love these colors together and your fabulous coloring. I’m very new to Copics and I’m so intimidated that I haven’t even opened mine! lol! What I’m really impressed with is coloring the ribbon. Wow, didn’t know you could do that. And no streaks, just perfection. This is such a lovely Spring card and the person receiving it will really enjoy it!
