Flourishes Pick Your Challenge

We're at the beginning of an impending blizzard here in Massachusetts, so I thought I'd sneak in a little stamping time before the power goes out! We're expecting more than 2 FEET of snow by tomorrow afternoon! Yikes.

My hubby will be away of course (he works on power lines so he will be very busy), but he set us up with a generator before he left. Unfortunately my stamping room is not on the circuit that will be up & running with the generator 🙁 But, we will have heat, some lights, the refrigerator and the tv so life is good!

Earlier today I saw the new challenges on the Flourishes Blog  and I knew I wanted to give it a whirl! There are 3 sketches, 3 color schemes, and 3 embellishments to choose from, and you must incorporate one of each in your card. Love it!! I recently picked up the new set from Flourishes called Roses are Red and I was excited to get it inky! I also got a new pad of DSP called Love Story which I featured on this card.

Here are the Copic colors I used to color my bouquet:

I'm very excited that I will be taking an intermediate Copic course soon!! I am so looking forward to feeling a little more confident with my color choices. I am certainly realizing there are some gaps in my collection of Copics the more I color! Per usual, I want them all!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. VERY PRETTY KERIN!!!!!!! Glad you were able to get some time to stamp before the blizzard strikes!!!!!! STAY SAFE & WARM!!!!!! 🙂 (Fairly warm temps for us tomorrow! We’ve been getting ICE! So, it’s nice to be missed by this storm!)

  2. Gorgeous Kerin! I’m not a pink girl but this is beautiful. Your coloring is really pretty too. I’m starting my collection and very new to Copics. I appreciate you showing us the markers that were chose. Your hubby is a saint to help those in need in such harsh weather conditions! I feel for all of you on the East coast. Wish we had some of your snow here in Ohio.

  3. This is so pretty Kerin! The colouring is awesome with all those beautiful pinks! Sounds like you’ll be digging out for a while. Hope you’re recovering alright.
Thanks so much for playing along with us at Flourishes!

  4. Beautiful card! This gorgeous image fits the die cut perfectly. Your coloring is wonderful. You do a fabulous job with those Copics. It sure takes a long time to build up a collection. I still don’t have all of them. I’m trying to collect the Various Inks for the markers I have. $$$!!!
