Happy September stampers! It's been a whirlwind of a summer around our house, from baseball to birthdays to camping, we have been having a great time. But now the boys are back in school, Nick started high school this year, and Ben started college! OMG I don't even know where those years went. As the song by Trace Adkins says, "You're gonna miss this". So true! (and one of my favorite songs)
Now that we're back in a bit of a routine, I've been sneaking down to my stamp room after dinner for a little "me" time.
After having a couple of months off, I find myself in a bit of a rut creativity wise. Earlier this summer Flourishes began a monthly program called Class in a Box, and I jumped right on that bandwagon! All the paper cut, accessories included, plus a stamp set? And all I have to do is color the image with my Copics? Oh yeah I'm there!!
Well I got the first month's kit in June, and I finally got to start making the cards last week. The cool part of the kit is that you receive the supplies to make 2 each of 3 different cards. I'm not a fan of making the same thing twice, so I decided I'd make 1 each of the 3 different cards, then I'd switch out the stamp set to make a whole new variety of the same card. Yahoo, 6 different cards and I don't have to cut a piece of paper!!
The first Class in a Box was called Call Me, using THIS stamp set. I used the supplies in the kit, but switched out my second set of cards for the stamp set called On the Porch and this is what I came up with:
Oh and by the way, forgive me if these pictures are a little off…my white box broke that I usually take my pictures in, so I went out to the deck railing today during sunset.
I hope you like what I've come up with. I also have another Class in a Box kit finished I'll share with you another day 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
