Hi stamping friends 🙂 Can you believe we’re less than 3 weeks away from Christmas?!? I’m trying to get my Christmas cards done and mailed, and today I got to add another to the pile thanks to the Retro Sketches Challenge for some inspiration and Crafter’s Companion for a super cute image to color! Here’s the sketch:
Hey stamping friends 🙂 I’m playing along with the Retro Sketches challenge again this week, here’s the sketch:
I’m also entering this into the You Could be a Card Design Superstar contest for My Favorite Things. You can enter up to 5 cards! Time to get crackin’ on some more MFT Stamps creations!
I knew this sketch would be perfect for some new goodies I got from My Favorite Things last month. They had an unbelievable selection of birthday themed stamps and dies in their release so I just couldn’t resist!
Hey stamping friends 🙂 Well I’m still working on organization after the big move of my stamp room, but with the help of my IKEA purchases this past weekend I’m well on my way. I will post some pics after I get a few more drawer sets for the shelving unit I bought. I was going to do half drawers and half shelves, but I’m loving the clean look of the drawers.
Meanwhile, I’m so happy to be stamping again now that I’m back upstairs 🙂 I checked out this week’s challenge at Retro Sketches:
While moving my zillions of supplies I found this beautiful flower from SU! called Blended Bloom (I tried to find a link for you online, but maybe it’s retired?). How have I never cracked this case open before?!?! This DSP was another fun find, actually I found a whole stack of DSP I had forgotten I had. Good thing I didn’t get over to my favorite LSS while we were camping in the area because I probably would have bought most of these patterns again! This one’s called Now and Then Milo Friends Fallow Paper by My Mind’s Eye. The tag is made from THIS die from MFT Stamps. I added some Vanilla satin ribbon and half back pearls, and mounted the whole thing on Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock (all from SU!)
And of course I colored my flower with Copics, here are the colors I used: BG000, BG10, BG11, BG15, Y02, Y17, YR23.
Hey stamping friends! Well I made the big move…I’ve got a good portion of my stamping stuff back to my upstairs craft room. This weekend I’ll take a trip to IKEA and get more shelving to complete the move and I can’t wait! It is so nice to be up here with the family, amidst the action of the house and free from the spiders of the basement ewwwww. The only thing that is going to take some getting used to is sitting at a desk to color & craft. I’ve always stood at the counters Jeff built for me, but when I proposed the big move his only request was that I NOT ask him to move the counters (again – this will be the third stamp room I’ve had).
So here’s my first card from my new space. I popped over to the Retro Sketches blog to see what the DT has been up to and decided to take a stab at this week’s sketch:
I was inspired by THIS amazing post by Kathy at The Daily Marker. I can’t get over the amazing coloring on everything she does. I so admire her work. I receive her post updates by email and let me tell you that is dangerous! Step 1: open email. Step 2: order whatever Kathy is using today. Yikes let’s not tell Jeff about that one! So, of course I ordered THIS gorgeous butterfly set from Clearly Besotted stamps.
Here’s a side view of my butterfly:
I colored the butterflies in Copics (of course): RV00, V01, V04, V06, V09 and I added a little FRV1 to my main butterfly to make it more pink than the others for a little extra pop. The embossed background is from Stampin’ Up!.
