Baroque Motifs Sketch Challenge

Well it's been a couple of days since I've posted…Jeff & I enjoyed a fabulous weekend while our boys were in New Hampshire with friends. Friday we packed up our bikes and rode the most beautiful bike paths on Cape Cod…we rode about 12 miles and we're so looking forward to returning with the boys, they'll love it! Saturday we took the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard and strolled through Vineyard Haven, and walked for a couple of miles before stopping for ice cream and taking the ferry back to the Cape. Yesterday I cleaned Ben's room…I know, that doesn't sound like much fun, but to get a 15 year old to either clean his room properly is some sort of task, so I decided to tackle it while he was gone! Then we treated ourselves to a movie in the afternoon and dinner last night. It was very relaxing!

So, you probably stopped by here to see a card huh? Well I finally stamped this afternoon…it's a dark, wet, cold afternoon here, so hanging out in my stamp room is a great place to be…so I turned to Karen's sketch challenge, and opted for a fall color scheme to warm me up.

I used the Baroque Motifs and Flores Suaves stamp sets, along with Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke ink. I dyed my flowers to match, and also used the sticky back half pearls on my card. The big pearl in the center is from the Pretties Kit. I used a texturz plate for the Early Espresso card stock.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow love this color combo. I just have to get some Not Quite Navy… I keep forgetting! I love it when I see it, and still haven’t ordered any. Great job.
