Baby Girls!

My cousin and his wife, who live in Michigan had twin baby girls in April names Lydia and Janelle…how exciting! I got the baby announcement, which I have to tell you I loved for two reasons: 1st, the babies are adorable and the pictures included are just precious, and 2nd, the announcement was made with all SU! products!! Can't get better than that!

So I immediately went out shopping for two perfect little summer outfits, not exactly the same (because I don't know if people still dress twins exactly alike!), but I got the same patterns/colors in two different outfits with matching hats…so cute! I have to admit the gifts have been waiting here patiently for a bit for me to create a card to go with it! You know how crazy it gets with end of the year school stuff, baseball/sports, etc…plus I have to admit I was feeling some pressure to reciprocate the perfect SU birth announcement with the perfect SU card! Well, today's the day, I finally made the card! I actually used the petals wheel with Pretty in Pink ink to stamp white wrapping paper, so I think it will make a nice package. The card is very simple, but I think baby cards should be simple, not too cluttered. Here's what I used to create this card:

  • Year after Year stamp set
  • Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set
  • Pretty in Pink classic pad
  • Soft Sky classic pad
  • StazOn black pad
  • Pretty in Pink, Soft Sky, and Regal Rose card stock
  • Soft Sky double-stitched ribbon
  • Paper Piercing tool
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Ticket Corner Punch
  • Aquapainter
  • Corner Rounder (for scalloped border)
