I got my order of brand new Stampin’ Up! stamps, papers and accessories the other day, but I’ve been so busy with end of the year shool and sports stuff I haven’t even been able to play with it…until today! I got all the new In Color paper and stamp pads, some stamp sets, designer paper, and rhinestone brads!
I signed up for a swap with some very talented stampers from our group, and my item is the Soft Sky Designer Paper, which I used in this card. I was playing around with the paper today to figure out what my swap card would look like, and this is what I came up with. However, as I was making this card I thought to myself, "What am I, CRAZY? There’s no way I’m cutting out this flower twice per card for 20 cards for a swap!"
I used Purely Pomegranate for the card, words, flower layer and sponging on the edge of the designer paper. I used two different patterns of Soft Sky designer paper for the background and flower, and I used an "Ice" circle Rhinestone Brad for the center of the flower. The flower is on dimensionals to pop off the card. I really like the way it turned out…I just don’t want to make it 20 more times for a swap, so back to the drawing board!
