Wandering Words

Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Can you believe tomorrow is finally the day that the items in the Holiday Mini are available??? Yahoo! Today's card uses a new set called Wandering Words, and my favorite part about this set is that it covers Christmas, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, and the stamp I used on this card can actually be used for any thank-you!

With the change in the air here in New England over the past few days, I have been feeling the urge to clean, organize and have come to the realization that we have collected SO much "stuff" in the past 5 years we've lived in this house, and I need to let go of a lot of things we've been saving…saving for what???? I'm not having anymore kids, and my boys are now 10 and 14, so it's time to clean out all of the baby stuff and toys that are too young for them. I'm thinking of having a yard sale and telling the boys they can keep the $ raised by selling their old toys, that should make them want to let go of everything that comes down from the attic right?  You know the second we open that attic stairway they're going to want to play with everything they see!

Wow, got off on a tangent there, anyway back to the card…with the changing of the seasons, I was in the mood for a "fall-ish" card, and here's what we've got.

Stamp Set: Wandering Words
CS: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Old Olive
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Ruby Red Markers
Accessories: Mini Library Clip, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Corduroy Button (Kraft, sponged with Chocolate Chip ink), Texturz Plates/Big Shot, Leaf Embosslit, 2-way Glue Pen, DD Glitter, Stamping Sponges

Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to get cleaning before that urge passes and I stay in my stamp room all day!

  1. Thanks for sharing. I love the snowglobe below and the fall card here. I try to check your site everyday for inspiration.
    Thank you!

  2. What a beautiful card. I love all the distressing. I so wish I could get that “spring fever” to clean, but with a 2.5 year old and the plans to have another one soon, we just can’t get rid of all the stuff I have stored… or we could but I would have to save the money for the next kid!
I am so excited for the new mini ~ it is coming out ON my birthday!

  3. Love the card, and the idea for your boys works great – I make my son go through his toys before the holidays every year, and he chooses what to get rid of. Some of it we donate, and some we try to sell – if it sells, the $$ is his! He even helps me list the stuff on Craigslist (never enough for a yard sale)… This way he can’t get mad that we got rid of “his favorite toy”, because it’s his decision!
