Valentine’s Theme Challenge

Tonight I thought I'd check out the Paper Players new challenge, and found that it is to create a Valentine's themed project…so here goes!

Boy I needed some stamping therapy tonight, and this challenge sure helped! My day went fine at work, until I was met in the driveway when I got home by Ben telling me he figured out how to hook up his Xbox 360 to Live…hmmmm, if he figured out how to set it up, he's meeting me in the driveway why??? Uh huh, I knew why in pretty short order, he needed help and I was it (can I just say I have no clue with any of this computer stuff!)…so we spent the next hour and a half working on the foolish thing until we finally got it working. Needless to say I needed some time in my stamping room with some fun stamps, a good challenge and some good music to get out of the crabby mood I was in 😉

For this card I used the Wandering Words and I {heart} Hearts sets. Real Red and Basic Black ink, but for the big heart on the inside I sponged the edges of the heart with Cherry Cobbler after inking it up in Real Red. I used the Scallop Rectangle Clearlits for the Big Shot for the window, Real Red Satin Ribbon and Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. The card stock is Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Real Red.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Kerin,
LOVE this card. I totally forgot all about this stamp… I have it too. Thanks for sharing and rattling my cage. Sometimes I think I have so many stamps I don’t even get to use them enough before I’m buying more! Guess 2011 should be my slow down year? lol

  2. Kerin- this card is so cute! Isn’t amazing how we can forget what we have (but I always want to buy more- must be addiction!). Love the image along with the satin ribbon bow! Thanks for playing with us at The Paper Players!

  3. Oh Kerin… computers! Wonderful that you got the problem fixed! I can see why you needed some good stamping therapy after that. I love that you pulled out Wandering Words. I haven’t seen a card made with that set for a while and I am so pleased you used it for this fabulous card.
So pleased you joined the Paper Players again this week
