I finally got around to stamping today, I hope you like what I came up with! I had every intention of getting caught up on all my Stampin' Up! paperwork I've avoided for months today…I checked out several different bookkeeping programs, downloaded a couple (then uninstalled them…don't ask)…and finally got around to stamping a little while ago…and no, my paperwork is not done. Oh well, I'm guessing it will wait right there on my desk until I get to it 🙂
So I made this little treat tote bag out of my Top Note die for the Big Shot, and I used the new dsp which will be available when Sale-a-Bration starts February 1st! The fun thing about the Big Shot is that you can cut through several layers at once, so I lined up a piece of dsp, a piece of that cardboard? backing that comes with the pack of dsp, and then another piece of dsp, so they'd all be cut perfectly the same. Once they were cut, I adhered the dsp to the cardboard for the sides of my tote.
I made the actual candy holding part of the tote out of acetate, and adhered it to my sides using sticky strip. I thought it would be kind of cool to see the contents of the tote from the sides.
I used the Filigree Designer Brads to attach my So Saffron ribbon handle, I just love that ribbon. Oh yeah, and I used the rest of the sheet of dsp and cut it into 1/8" strips, and ran it through my crimper to make the filler.
On the front of the tote I sponged on Sahara Sand ink on the edges, then used my Curly Label punch, again sponged with Sahara Sand. I used Fundamental Phrases to make the "To my Love", along with my 3 punched hearts which I applied Dazzling Diamonds glitter to.
I went out to show my husband because I was so proud of how cute I thought it turned out, and he said "Oh, thanks" after seeing the "to my love" on the front…I snatched it away from him and told him I needed to go take pictures of it…guess I should give my love back his treats now 🙂
