The Paper Players Challenge

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've blogged…or stamped for that matter! We got back last week from a trip with some great friends! We went on a cruise and had a fabulous time! There were 3 families, for a total of 6 adults and 7 kids. The adults did their thing (lounging on the pool deck sipping cocktails in 80 something degree sunshine), and the kids did their thing (playing games and drinking an unlimited amount of soda)…perfect!!

I have to say I have been missing my stamp room since I got back. I call it stamping therapy, because I come in the room all stressed out, and I leave an hour or two later completely relaxed 🙂 Tonight I looked to The Paper Players challenge, Spring has Sprung…hmmm, do you think this card qualifies? Here's the terrible gardner I am…do strawberries start to bloom in the spring? I have no clue but I thought of this when I saw the challenge so I'm going with it 😉 The set is called Strawberries and it's by Flourishes.

Of course what completes some stamping therapy? Coloring with Copics…still lots of work to do in that department, but I'm happy with the way this card came out. The colors I used are strawberries: R43, R46, R59, leaves: YG67, G85, YG93, flowers: Y0000, Y32, Y35. I spotted this dsp in a local scrapbooking store (forget the name, but I know how to get back there which is really all that matters lol…it's right near Gillette Stadium where the Patriots play)…anyway, the dsp is called Chilled Strawberry Soup by Jillibean. I knew I'd use it with this set the second I saw it. I also used Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon by SU!, and Half-Back Pearls by SU! that I colored with my R59 Copic marker.

It's kind of a big card, 6×6" square, because I was determined to use the new Framelits Labels from SU!.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
