Last night was the last in my series of techniques nights (for a while anyway!). We had a great time, as usual! Thanks for coming over everyone! We learned two new techniques, and since it was our last class and we had a little extra time, I also taught the ladies a really cool folding technique I learned the other day, what fun!
We used bubble wrap for our first technique…yes, bubble wrap! This was by far the easiest of the techniques we’ve learned, but very popular! The ladies loved the simplicity of it with such a great finished look. The stamp set we used is called Eat Cake, and of course there’s glitter on the candle flames!
This technique was a little more involved, but produced great results for everyone! We used Pearl Ex powder and reinkers to create this shimmery background. I love how it looks like a sunset. We also colored our black gingham ribbon with a Cameo Coral marker to coordinate it. The stamp set we used was Simply Said.
The butterfly on this card is cut out and embossed, and adhered to the card with the wings popping up. It really comes off the card in real life. The butterfly came from Touch of Nature, and Thank You is from Much Appreciated.
Here’s our Iris Folding card. It looks quite difficult, but really isn’t! This one was a real "wow", I think because it looks so impressive and was much easier than it seems!
Even though techniques night is over, I’ve still got LOTS of fun, cool projects planned for this month! Check out my Stampin’ Up! website for my calendar of events! I’d love to have you join us!
