Movers & Shapers Curly Label Box

Happy Saturday friends! Only one more day until it's back to the old routine, so I'm trying to fit in every last minute of stamping this weekend! My poor hubby is sick in bed with the flu, so I'm just hiding out in my stamping room for the day. I created this box for the "3d something" over at the Stamp Something challenge blog.

I've been thinking of other uses for the new Stampin' Up! Movers & Shapers Curly Label die from Sizzix, besides just the basic card…well I hope you like this cute little box I came up with! I designed this box last night, and I'm going to try and use my son's new video recorder he got for Christmas and make a little video tutorial…we'll see how that goes! I'm sure it will be sooo much easier once I get the hang of it, instead of taking 20 something pictures, editing them, writing descriptions of each step…you'll be able to just follow along!

I added the m&m's and marker so you can get an idea of the size of this box…I'm guessing it's very deceiving, since I'm sure the picture is waayyy bigger than the box is in real life! The box-top is 2" square if that helps.

So here's another picture of the box open, and stay tuned, hopefully I'll have a video to share with you in the next couple of days!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ornament Gift Tag

Have you seen those adorable little gift tags made using the Sizzix Scallop #2 die for the Big Shot? I'm not sure if Andrea Walford was the first, but that's where I saw it. I decided to give it a try, how do you like it? I think it's pretty cute if I do say so myself 🙂 The scallop is only about 3-1/4", so it's not as big as it looks.

I used Punch Pals for the stamp set, and the card stock colors are Old Olive, which apparently I use all the time (my friend Donna sent me this cool thing to try, you punch in your blog address and it makes this whole jumble of words from your blog, in cool shapes, colors and sizes…well the biggest word in my jumble was OLD! I can't imagine it meant that I'm old LOL, so it must be that I use Old Olive a lot!!)…I also used Night of Navy and Riding Hood Red. I colored in the trees with yup, again, Old Olive and a Blender Pen, and Summer Sun for the star. The little snowflakes and words are Night of Navy…then of course I added glitter with a 2-way glue pen. Oh yeah, and the circle are cut with the Coluzzle.
