Sweet Sunday

I hope you can relate, well actually I hope you can't, because that would mean you're feeling in a stamping "funk" like I am lately! I don't know what it is…maybe I just have too much new stuff and I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to begin? Anyway, I was determined to make a card today, so I cleaned up my desk, organized my stamp table and got to work…the best place to find a jumping off point for me is to find a good sketch challenge, so I turned to a Sunday favorite, called the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I always love all of the fresh, clean designs their design team comes up with 🙂

For this card I used my favorite hydrangea stamp (Because I Care)…did I tell you I got two hydrangea plants the other day? Love those plants, with the gorgeous giant blooms that last for a month or so. Anyway, they were on clearance and the flowers had faded, so it will be a surprise to all of us next summer to find out what color they'll be! I decided mine would be purple in this card, so I turned to a color I haven't used yet…Concord Crush…yup it looks just like it sounds, like a nice, juicy grape 🙂

I used Shimmery White card stock, some of those beautiful new sticky-back half pearls…I need to order LOTS more of these! The dsp is from the Lap of Luxury pack. The card base is Perfect Plum, although I think it looks brown-ish in the picture.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hopefully this is the beginning of me getting out of my stamping "funk" and being productive this week! Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂

  1. Beautiful card,as always. You have so much on your plate, I think that is your “funk” reason! Slow down and take some time to do you things when you can. I need your inspiration! Hope you have a funk-free week!
