SugarPea Designs ~ Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

Hi there! Now that you’ve got some of the goodies from the latest release at SugarPea Designs, the DT is back with some fresh inspiration in today’s blog hop!

For my card I used the Around Town SugarCut, along with Welcome SugarCut (Sweet Incentive Set) and the Warm Welcome stamp set:

I created the background by sponging on Mustard Seed Distress Ink, pretty heavily at the bottom then lessening the amount as I went up. Then I took the Starburst CoverPlate, and die cut it using a scrap of cardstock. I held the die cut over my sponged background and applied white opaque ink to look like rays of sunshine. I moved the die cut as necessary, rotating it around and sponging on more white ink, using the longer sections of the die cut.

  1. That is a really fabulous Welcome to the neighborhood card. I love that you used the sun rays behind the houses… Perfect!

  2. What a clever way to use that sun rays die as a stencil! I love the city skyline silhouette with the bright yellow background.

  3. That black and yellow color combo is so strong and energetic !! Love it !
