Well it's better late than never right? I almost didn't make my card in time for the Stamping411 challenge this week! I had the idea that I would incorporate three of the flowers from the Bloomin' Beautiful set a couple of days ago, and I don't know about you, but when I've got an idea in my head it's just stuck there until I make it! So, I swayed a bit from the sketch to use these flowers, but I'm still pretty happy with the way it turned out.
I'm beginning to wonder how we ever made a card before the Big Shot came around!! I love the look of textured paper to give a card that extra "something". I used the Finial Press embossing folder for this card.
I stamped my flowers in Black StazOn, on Shimmery White paper, then colored them with Ruby Red & Old Olive ink with my Aquapainter. Then I cut them out (that was the tricky part!), and tied them together with some Linen Thread. The ribbon is Old Olive Satin, boy do I hope this satin ribbon appears in the next big catalog!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
