Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

It's that time of the week…hooray! Time for another great sketch from Stamping 411!! Hopefully as you read this I've still got power…we're due to be experiencing hurricane Earl as this post goes live (thank goodness for being able to schedule my posts ahead!!). You know my husband will be away at work since he works on power lines, so I would love to have a fully lit stamping room available!! If not, the boys & I will be playing cards by candle light, not a bad option either 🙂

Anyway, here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I used Versamark and Silver embossing powder on my largest snowflakes, and the smaller ones are stamped in Night of Navy and Bashful Blue. The sentiment is also embossed in silver.

Card stock colors are Whisper White, Night of Navy and Brushed Silver. I also used Whisper White Organza Ribbon and Basic Pearls with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The Whisper White card stock is textured with the swirly Backgrounds I Texturz Plate.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I can't wait to see your creations this week!! Be sure and check out what the other operators have come up with, they're all so creative!!

  1. Very nice!!!! The snowflakes are so elegant and calming!! Not looking forward to seeing them in real life (our first snow is usually around Oct 10th), but I sure do like seeing them on your cards!
P.S. I hope Earl stays out of your way. Hugs!!

  2. Beautiful card!
I, like you, have a husband who will be “out” today as well! (He works for the Dept. of Transpotation, so I’m sure if Earl hits, he’ll be called out…) We live in the Maritimes and are expecting Hurricane Earl as I type this. My plan for today is to spend the day in my craftroom and I hope to have a productive day.
    Keep those beautiful cards coming…
