Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge

Time for another wonderful sketch from Stamping 411. I'm so happy that it's Friday, and with the holidays behind us, I feel like I had a pretty productive week 🙂 I got lots of swaps done, some special projects done, and even got to play along in a couple of challenges!

Here's the sketch for this week:

SSC185

And here's my card:

SSC185Kerin
Okay, I have to tell you that I really feel like I've cheaped out on this card…because all of the work was done by this fun dsp!! I just added a little texture, sponging, ribbon and brads and voila I was done!!

I made a square card this week, because I wanted to fit all of the bird & nest. I used Early Espresso & Crumb Cake card stock, along with Old Olive ribbon. The "for you" came from "Just for You" in the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, I stamped it on a scrap of the dsp and punched it with the mini tag punch. I used the new Framed Tulips embossing folder on just the top & bottom of the card, then sponged it with Early Espresso ink. I added a few Vintage Trinkets brads, and done!

We had so many entries last week, boy it is so tough for us to pick the top 5!! We love seeing everyone's creations, I hope you'll play along this week!!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You may feel like you cheaped out but this is a gorgeous card and with the added touches you’ve pushed it over the top. It’s fabulous!

  2. Holy Moly! I’m really liking that dsp! The border, distressing and your bit of color pops it so it grabs you! Great card! 🙂

  3. You are definitely NOT cheating. Your additions are the perfect final touches. It’s so very creative to use the embossing folder in that way – just stunning!

  4. I had the most WONDERFUL time, with the most AMAZING friends last night! THE Kerin Sylvester at my house??? Woo hoo!!! Thank you so much for making the drive up! I’m so thankful to God that the snow held off so you didnt have to drive through “the blizzard of 78” oh wait, just flurries.. I told Robin, if you dont like the weather here, wait a minute, it will change! I love what you did with this designer paper. Great job with the ribbon and all the little details.. ((((hugs)))

  5. I agree…the DSP did some of the work, but love the added details you gave it to put it over the top. Great minds think alike! Sorry I won’t get to meet you at Leadership this year!
