Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 207

It's Friday night and that means it's time for the latest challenge at Stamping 411 🙂 I'm going to keep it short & sweet tonight, because today I brought my dad in for another surgery and it's been a loooonnnngggg day. I won't go into all of the details, but we'll just say it's a long road and we're trudging along. Anyway, onto the sketch:

And here's my card:

Hmmm, wonder where I got the inspiration for this card?? Kinda manly, kinda get-well-ish…I've definitely been stressing over the latest surgery for dad…don't think I'll actually send him this card though, I don't know about flowers for men 😉

Here's what I used to make my card:

Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Early Espresso, Always Artichoke & Not Quite Navy (for sponging the edges)

Card stock: Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, Paisley Petals dsp

Accessories: Fun Flowers die for the Big Shot, Early Espresso Satin Ribbon, Neutrals Buttons, Jewelry Tag punch, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. A real man like your dad would so appreciate this card. You should SO give it to him (or me) 😉
Seriously, wishing you nothing but good news and smooth sailing with regards to the post surgery stress. Sending big hugs.

  2. Personally, I think it is a great manly get well card. After surgery, most of the time you can’t have flowers, and the colors are manly enough for your Dad, but the flower is cheery enough to make him smile. It is a reminder to him what a tallented child he helped to create! Good luck with your Dad, and tell Linda I am thinking of her also.

  3. Kerin your card is wonderful…… love the “look” of it all. Hope all goes well with your dad too.
The previous posts is too stinkin’ cute! love the cheery colors.. great for a child’s occassion. hugs.

  4. Well, not to sound repetitive but this card is beautiful! I love the colors and they are PERFECT for men. (I think the flowers would be ok for men, too :)). I love the flowers and the sponging on the edges and the designer paper.
    Absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you so much for sharing.
