Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge # 197

Oh my gosh can you believe it's April already?!?! You'd never know it at my house, it snowed last night!! Good grief will this winter ever end??? Luckily we're near Cape Cod, so it changed over to rain over night and has all washed away…other New Englanders were not so lucky! Funny how in the late fall we're jealous that everyone around us gets snow and we get rain, the kids are always disappointed looking at the school closings and not seeing our town listed, but this time of year, we're thankful not to be on that list! Okay, well the boys would probably still like to be on that list 😉

Anywho, it's time for another sketch over at Stamping 411! I sure hope you'll play along this week. Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I wasn't sure about this card at first, but it grew on me pretty quickly. You know when you make a card and you don't really like it until you leave and come back again later?? That was this card for me.

I knew I wanted a soft, Easter-y (Easter-y??? Really? You know what I mean right??) look to my card, and I wanted to keep my flower light, so I stamped the layers with the flowers from Elements of Style in Pretty in Pink, Pear Pizzazz (stamped off for an even lighter shade) and So Saffron. I sponged the edges of each layer with the same color too. For the bottom half of the card, I used Pink Pirouette patterns dsp, ran my whole card front through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper folder, then I ran the sanding block over it a couple of times to bring some of the white through.  The sentiment is from Fabulous Phrases, stamped in So Saffron. Of course I used Lee's bowmaker for the perfect bow, and a Vintage Brad to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by, come over to Stamping 411 and play with us!!
