Wow, we had so many beautiful entries for the sketch last week over at Stamping 411, and it's time for a new sketch that is super versatile, so I hope you'll check out all of the Operator samples and even play along yourself!!
Here's the sketch:
I wish you could see this card in real life, I actually think this card is so cute! If you click on the picture it should get bigger and you can see some of the details.
I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder for the first time on this card, love it! For the "let it snow", I stamped my words (from the Punch Pals set, inked them up separately and stamped them one on top of the other), then I punched the 1" circle, then I placed just that circle on a snowflake in the embossing folder and ran it through. It's hard to see in the picture, but I like the effect.
For my snowman, I used Shimmery White card stock (what else, right?!?!), stamped him in Black StazOn and watercolored. I added some Bashful Blue around him for a sort of "glow". Then I ripped a piece of SW card stock and added it to the bottom with some glitter for the snow. Other card stock colors are Bashful Blue & Real Red.
Oh yeah, and I did sway from the sketch a bit…I needed to balance the blank space at the top so I moved my shape up to the right corner, but that's the great thing about our sketch challenges, we're just using them to get the creativity flowing, if it ends up a little different than the sketch, that's a-okay!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you'll play along this week!
