It's time for another great sketch at the Stamping 411 blog! I really enjoyed the sketch this week…well, I do every week, but this week especially, because the idea for my card popped into my head right away…always helpful 🙂 I hope you'll check out what the other operator's have created and play along this week! You are definitely going to want to tune in next week for some real fun ;);)
Anyway, here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
Mmmmm, purrrrrple…yes I love purple! Which is quite odd, because I don't think I really use it very often in stamping, hmmm…
I don't think you can tell by the picture above, but I sprayed everything except the black card stock with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. I even wiped up some of the excess from my Color Catcher with a Sponge Dauber and rubbed it on the ribbon. You can see it better if you click on this picture:
I dyed my Whisper White Satin Ribbon with Lavender Lace by rubbing the ink on with a Stamping Sponge. I left the ends of the ribbon a little lighter so that I could layer the pieces for my bow. The butterflies were colored with Almost Amethyst and Lavender Lace, cut out and attached with Mini Glue Dots. I used the Finial Press embossing folder, and all of the white/stamped parts are Shimmery White card stock.
Thanks for stopping by, I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!
