Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge #162

Woohoo! It's Friday!! Doesn't that have a nice ring to it?!?! It doesn't really matter to me (and I often don't even know what day it is) in the summer, because I'm not "working", but I still get that happy feeling when Friday rolls around 🙂

One of the fun things about Friday night is that it's time for another rockin' sketch from Stamping 411! When I first saw the sketch, I have to admit I thought it was going to be a tough one for me…just a few simple elements on this card, and I'm not usually the "just a few" elements kind of stamper 😉 I knew I'd be making a birthday card, because my nephew's birthday party is Sunday, so at least I had a starting point…and I'm pretty happy with the card I came up with, hope you like it!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I used the Party Hearty set, and I've been dying to ink up those cool new words in the Curly Cute set! The colors I used were Old Olive, Pacific Point, Real Red, and the cupcake tops are Marina Mist, covered in 2-way glue & chunky glitter. I used the polka-dots embossing folder too.

I hope you'll find time to play along this week!
