Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge #198

If you haven't heard yet, there was a BIG announcement made over at Stamping 411 on Wednesday, and I'm so excited about it…beginning with this challenge, we are going ALL STAMPIN' UP! You can view Selene's original post HERE.

We had some mixed reactions so far, but mostly positive and we are just thrilled about that! We look forward to being a go-to resource for your SU! inspiration, from both the Operators and players!!

Okay, so how about this week's sketch?!?! Here it is:

And here's my card:

Can you tell I'm in the mood for summer, cocktails & celebrating with friends?!? And from what I hear, it may feel like summer around here on Monday! Can you believe we were lucky to hit 50 degrees yesterday and we could have record-breaking heat on Monday of 80-85 degrees?? Crazy!!

Anyway, about the card. I haven't used this set in quite a while. I stamped my cocktails in Black StazOn ink, then colored them in with classic ink & my Aquapainter. I added Crystal Effects & Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the "liquid" part of each drink. I think if you click on the image you'll be able to see it better.

Instead of using a dsp on the left side, I just embossed part of the card stock with the polka dots embossing folder. Here are the other supplies I used:

Stamp Sets: Fabulous Phrases, Cheers to You

Ink: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Real Red

Card Stock: Shimmery White, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Basic Black, Tempting Turquoise

Accessories: Itty Bitty Buttons w/matching punch for Melon Mambo under the button, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Punch, Piercing Tool, Mini Glue Dot, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

  1. I love, love, love the combination of colors you’ve used here Kerin. Make me want to go out and sit by the pool today and have a frosty beverage. Yum!!
I think I will case this for a workshop I have tomorrow. Thanks so much for always being an inspiration.
