Tonight I will have my monthly get-together with girls in my stamper’s club. I hope I’m posting this late enough in the day that they’ll still be surprised by the cards they’re making when they get here tonight! They all get to take turns being the "hostess" and I offer this special night of stamping to them as a thank you for being in my club. If you’re interested in joining a club, give me a call or email me.
I have four different cards for them to make, and they’ll make 2 of each, complete with envelopes. I try to give them a good variety so they’re not all my usual flower, soft subtles type of cards I make!
The first card uses the set called Fun & Fast Notes, and I stamped that with Staz-On so we can color them in right away and not worry about any bleeding. I used Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery cardstock, along with Berry Bliss designer paper. I don’t know if you can see in the picture, but the little heart "flames" have glitter on them. This is a really fast and easy card, and with 8 different stamps in that set they can make whichever one suits their stamping needs!
The next card uses an oldie but goodie…actually the set is not that old, just from last year’s catalog, but I used it to do a wedding ensemble swap and pretty much used it so much for that swap that I haven’t picked it up again since! I do love this set though, and I am happy that I can bring it back out to be used again! I used Bashful Blue and Mellow Moss on Very Vanilla…hmmm…sounds like I’m still in the Soft Subtles style…that’ll be fixed when you see the next card.
For this card there is almost no stamping *gasp*…but it doesn’t really need much when you’re using the new Accents & Elements felt flowers! I also used the Bali Breeze designer paper on this one, with some silver brads.
The last card I just love, and you know why? Because I spotted one very similar to it on Karen Barber’s blog, and I basically cased it! You’ve probably seen me type about her blog before…I think her creations are just soooo amazing. You probably can’t tell by the picture, but the big flowers from Embrace Life are embossed in white, and I added Dazzling Diamonds to the flowers with a 2-way glue pen. The Soft Sky and Blue Bayou are applied to the centers of the flowers using a sponge dauber.
