Stamper’s Club Projects

Boy oh Boy have I been a bad blogger! It’s not that I haven’t been stamping, but let’s just say that I will be one happy stamper once baseball season is over for my two boys! If we’re not at a game, we’re at a practice…I’m sure you all know how it is!

So tonight I’m going to show you the four different cards my club members made. They get to make 2 of each card every month, for a minimum order of $25 and the 6 of them take turns being the hostess.

Sometimes when I’m getting ready for a class the ideas for cards just pop in my head, but this month was not like that! I got inspiration from many different places. The first card we made uses the Le Jardin Designer Paper, along with the stamp set  Boho Backgrounds, and Sincere Salutations for the words. Here’s my card:

My friend Donna had sent me a card about a week ago, and I really liked the layout. It made a very pretty card, and it was simple too so I used her card as the inspiration to create my version. Here’s the card she sent me:

I think one of my favorite parts about stamping is the endless possibilities! Seriously, all you need to do is switch a couple of colors or stamps and you’ve got a completely different look!

The next card I basically cased from Kristin Moore on SCS. I was looking for a project to use my brandy-spandy new metallic pencils with, and I just loved her card! I pretty much only changed the ribbon and embossing for my version. The basic look is exactly like hers. The stamp set is Embrace Life, and the words come from my new favorite word set called Absolutely Fabulous. We stamped in Black Craft Ink, and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then colored in the flowers with the yellow looking metallic pencil, and the leaves with the grayish one. If you can’t see the background in the picture, it’s the Floral background stamped in Barely Banana.

For our next two cards, I think I actually came up with them all on my very own! I could be wrong though, I could’ve gotten the idea from somewhere browsing blogs…there are so many awesome stampers out there it’s hard not to pick up inspiration almost everywhere you look!

This card uses the stamp set Simply Said, stamped in Old Olive, along with those adorable little Flower Fusion flowers. I also used Pumpkin Pie and Purely Pomegranate, since those are the colors that match the felt flowers. I love that color combo!

This card uses a set and wheel I haven’t pulled out in a loooong time! This is such a cool effect, I would love to see more stamp sets with coordinating wheels like this from Stampin’ Up!…the set is called Bud Basics, and what you do is wheel on the black image with the Basics Outline jumbo wheel, then stamp the centers of the flowers and leaves with the colors of your choice…isn’t this so cool? Of course I’m partial to those Soft Subtles colors, so I think this might be my favorite.

Well that’s it for today folks! But you can stay tuned, because I have my downline meeting on Thursday, so I’ll be posting shortly with those projects! Thanks for stopping by!
