Sponged Baroque Motifs

All caught up with my work, I get to go back to stamping for fun 🙂 I have work today, but my whole family is asleep, so I got up bright and early and made this card to go with the UDI sketch. I really liked the sketch, because it had a lot of elements to it, and my idea for it popped right into my head, which is always helpful!

I love sponging on Shimmery White card stock…for some reason I'm able to achieve smoother blended colors with it. I used Baroque Motifs for the stamp set, and a different color combo on each layer. Beginning at the bottom: Riding Hood Red, Cherry Cobbler, Bravo Burgundy, the next layer up is Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy, the strip across is Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry and Elegant Eggplant, the next layer is More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie & Cajun Craze, finally the circle at the top is Daffodil Delight.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. I am not much for bright colors, but these colors together are really fabulous. I love that it is single layers. It is just very romantic looking. GREAT!!! 🙂
