Sketch Challenge

My 4th level upline is Cindy Lawrence, who is the leader of the Stampers By Design group with Stampin' Up!. Cindy has started bi-weekly challenges to keep us inspired and stamping, and I love the idea! Our very first challenge is a sketch challenge, and I found some time yesterday afternoon before my tin class last night to stamp my version.

I used the Prints designer paper in Certainly Celery to stamp my flowers from Bloomin' Beautiful on, then I also stamped the flower tops onto the Pretty in Pink matching paper from the hostess paper pack. I cut out the flowers, and also cut out half of the flower to put up on dimensionals and make a raised layer. Stamping on designer paper makes it so much easier to use those line image stamps and not have to color! I did use a little Regal Rose ink with my Aquapainter to shadow on the flowers, along with some Always Artichoke on the leaves. I'm very pleased with how this card came out…I don't know if I've ever made a card that included no white before! I also like a nice card with no sentiment so I can use it for any occasion (well I suppose any occasion that is not "manly" for this card!)
