Scallop Flower Card

Today I thought I'd share with you the thank-you card I made for all the girls that came to Michelle's SU party last Friday night…they should have received them in the mail by now, so I don't think I'll spoil it by putting it online now.

Can you tell I'm loving this set lately? My friend Christine and I made a swap, I have wanted this set for a long time (no clue why I never ordered it!), and she was tired of it because she had used it so much already. We agreed that I'd take her Fabulous Flowers and she'd take my Wanted, yahoo, new stamps to play with!

I also used my other favorite toy, the Big Shot to create the card (you can view all the dies and the machine over to the right in the Holiday Mini Catalog). I used the Scallop Circle die, and I placed my folded card stock on the die, with 5 scallops off the top edge of the fold so that it wouldn't cut through.

After I fully inked my stamp in Apricot Appeal classic ink, I used a stamping sponge to add More Mustard and Really Rust around the outside of the flower. I used Always Artichoke with the Thank you Kindly set for the "thanks", and that beautiful new So Saffron ribbon for the top. Of course if you have any questions, just shoot me an email and I'll try to answer right back!
