Party Favors

The other day a friend & I were talking about a surprise 40th birthday she's throwing for her husband and a couple of other friends, and she was showing me a couple of things she liked in the catalog to make for favors. She definitely wanted to incorporate 40, and the cupcake from the Big Shot, so yesterday morning before work I put together a little item I thought she might like.

I used the Fancy Favor box for the Big Shot, but instead of having the fancy edge to it, I just slid my card stock down a bit on the die to omit that part. I don't know about her husband, but my husband is so not a fancy edge type of guy, so I figured it would be better without it.

I made the 4 myself, and the O is from the Serif Essentials alphabet, but she will be using the Alphabet Simple Numbers set for the Big Shot to create her 40. The cupcake is made with the little cupcake sizzlets, I used Bashful Blue card stock and ran it through the crimper to give it the cupcake wrapper look. The top of the cupcake was made with the Celebrations dsp. Behind the cupcake is a circle from the Circles #2 die in Pacific Point. I tied up the medium cellophane bags with some Old Olive Satin Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!
