Hi there! I’m super excited because today is the first day of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I am going for it this time! As many of you know, my husband works on Long Island so we only get to see each other on weekends. This means I won’t be coloring on the weekends, but during the week I am on it! I’ve been feeling like my crafty mojo has been MIA lately, so this is the perfect way to jump start it again!
I saw the Birthday Project Challenge at MFT Stamps and thought this would be a fun place to start! I adore the Pure Innocence collection and love coloring these little cuties. The one I used here is called Happy Banner, but I don’t believe it’s available anymore. I used patterned paper from the Subtle Plaids 6×6 Paper Pack to paper piece her dress and bow, and colored the rest with Copics.
I created a bag out of designer paper, the bag is 4-1/2″ wide x 5″ tall x 2″ deep so it will be perfect for a little something. I added grommets so that the ribbon would not rip the designer paper when holding the bag.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you make some time to color today!
I love that the Everyday is Christmas set can be used for so many all occasion cards like this one!! It makes me happy to get to keep my holiday stamp sets out all year round. I colored this sweet little turtle with Copics (YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97), and the bird was colored with BG000, BG02 and BG05. I speckled on a bit of E42, E53, and E44 to create a little sandy ground for him to stand on.
Please be sure to play along with us because a. We love to see what you create, and b. There’s a prize to be won!!
Hello crafty peeps! I’m playing along with this month’s Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs today! My favorite part of this challenge is that you can use the photo or sketch for your inspiration, or both! Today I’m using the sketch. I feel like the photo inspired me to make my card more colorful, although not with the same colors that are in the photo. Here’s the challenge:
Here are the supplies I used to make my card, along with Distress Oxide Inks for the background:
Hey stamping friends! Today SugarPea Designs is sharing in the excitement of STAMPtember with our friends at Simon Says Stamp! We’re thrilled to share with you a stamp set created exclusively for this event and only available while supplies last, called Cuddly Cacti! There is also a coordinating die set and you can purchase them as a bundle or separately! This set is only available while supplies last, so grab yours today before they’re gone!!
Here’s my card:
These darling cactus images are just too stinkin’ cute, and how about those sentiments too? I know we all have those days that we’re a little “prickly”! For my card I sponged a little Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink into watercolor paper, then splattered a little water on it for a backdrop to my cactus. I colored the cactus in Copics (YG01, YG03, YG06, YG09), and for the pot I used (YR21, YR24, YR27). I cut out the center of the Postage Stamp Cover Plate SugarCut with a Zig Zag Stitched Circle SugarCut and popped up the cactus with foam tape for some added dimension.
Hello there! Have you joined the Mix It Up Challenge at SugarPea Designs yet? Summer’s starting to wind down, the weather is getting a bit cooler, so why not spend some time in your craft room playing along with us? The Mix It Up Challenge is a great way to get your creative juices flowing…you can play along with the sketch, the inspiration photo, or both! Plus, there’s a chance to win a gift certificate to the SugarPea Designs store!! Here’s this month’s challenge:
As soon as I saw the inspiration photo I knew I’d be using the Arrow Cover Plate for my card (It’s on sale too!!)! The pattern is easily adapted to the inspiration photo with the addition of yellow and gray arrows! I also used the Hello SugarCut in black to go with the black accents of the quilt.
Ok, it’s your turn to play along now. How will you be inspired???
Hooray, today’s the day that the new release goes live at SugarPea Designs! That’s right, tonight at 6 p.m. EST everything you’ve loved this week will be available to purchase! For today’s sneak peek, we’re highlighting the Eucalyptus Wreath set, along with the Grateful Greetings stamp set and Grateful SugarCut:
I colored the wreath with Copics (YG91, YG93, YG95 and YG99), then I colored a few clear rhinestones with Copics and added them. I used the Grateful SugarCut in matching cardstock on vellum with the sentiment. I can picture adding a few red dots, either rhinestones or nuvo drops onto the wreath for a holiday card, I think that’s next!!
Let’s check out what the rest of the team has come up with. You can hop along for your chance to win a prize while you’re waiting for 6 p.m. to get here!
Hey stamping friends! By now you probably know that it’s sneak peek week at SugarPea Designs, right?? Well today’s new set is quite possibly my favorite of the whole release! Check out those balloons!!! I use birthday cards the most, so I’m always on the lookout for fun new birthday sets. This is THE set for me now!! It’s called Birthday Balloons, and there’s a matching SugarCut die to cut the balloons out perfectly for you! For my card I began with white cardstock, stamped the balloon patterns in VersaMark, then embossed them. Finally I applied Distress Inks to create a variety of rainbow balloons. Oh, and the background clouds? You don’t need to buy some fancy template, just create your own! I used a piece of plastic, then die cut different size circles, overlapping each one to create a line of “clouds”. Easy peasy!!
The new products will be available TOMORROW at 6 p.m. EST, yahoo!! Be sure to hop along for your chance to win a prize too!!
Let’s see what the rest of the design team is up to today!
