As you may have noticed, I’m trying to add something new to my blog daily. I want to make it a great place for you to get some ideas, and it also keeps me stamping! I just finished this card a few minutes ago, so I thought I’d make it the card of the day!
For this card I used Mellow Moss and Not Quite Navy card stock. I used a set that I love, but don’t use as often as I’d like…it’s called Touch of Nature. I also used the Floral Background stamp, and Everyday Flexible Phrases for the word "friend". I wanted it to have a little something "extra" but I didn’t want to overdo it, so I used some Pewter Hodgepodge Hardware. The butterfly is embossed and really pops off the card IRL. Thanks for looking!
Techniques night is right around the corner again, and I’m working on some fun new techniques! Check out my Events Calendar to see which stamping classes you’d like to attend. Here’s one of the cards we’ll be making…It’s very shimmery in real life!
There’s a great crafting show called "Paint, Paper & Crafts" that often features Stampin’ Up!’s own Shelli Gardner and her daughter Sara, creating fun projects using Stampin’ Up! supplies! I was so excited to find out this morning that this show is actually available locally (if you have Comcast)! You can check out your channel listings with Comcast HERE. Just input your address and look through the list for either WGBH or WGBX channels. Paint, Paper & Crafts is on at my house in Carver on channel #168, called WGBX Create. I just finished programming my DVR to tape it every time it’s on! Then, if there are any projects you want more information on, or would like to purchase the supplies for…give me a call!
I was talking to my upline tonight, and she mentioned a great article in our monthly demonstrator’s magazine, called "Stampin’ Success" a few months back, in which the cards were really simple, focusing on ribbon and hodgepodge hardware. I have been itching to use the ribbon called "Sweet Shop" and after talking with Dawn, I checked out the article and whipped up this card. Sooo simple, and I really like it!
The card stock I used was Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, and Rose Red. I also used the stamp sets called Label Classics and Much Appreciated. Next time you need a quick card, think about some ribbon and hardware!
Make something cute out of your used fruit cans, like this! I suppose you can use any type of can, but even after washing a little scent remains, so pick something you like! I made this out of a can of pineapples. I just removed the label and covered it with some of our new Petals & Paisleys designer series paper. Then I made a little tag using the hostess level 1 set called Tags So Much. The crinkled paper used for filling is made from strips of card stock run through the crimper…so simple, and what a great way to use up some scraps! I used a small cellophane bag with Hershey’s kisses inside, and tied it all up with Moss Grosgrain Ribbon.
I do! I made this quick card to send to a friend whose mom is making me a "I Love Stamping" Apron! Roses in Winter is always a great choice for something quick but nice. I used Apricot Appeal for the base of the card, stamped with the Floral Background in the same color. For the rose portion I used Rose Red, Certainly Celery, and Apricot Appeal. The word "Thank You" is from the set Much Appreciated. I also sponged a little Rose Red around the edge of the card, and used Celery Narrow Organdy Ribbon for a little accent. You could really just change out the words and use this card for many different occasions!
I’m finally ready to let my blog be seen! It’s definitely in the very beginning stages, but I will be adding more and more as time goes on. I’m going to post new samples I’ve created several times a week so you can get some new ideas! You can always check out my upcoming events to the right and join me at one of my classes to learn more fun stamping stuff!
A Watermark! I just love it!! I had made this birthday card a couple of days ago, and just had to try out my new watermark! I ordered mine from a very talented lady, Cindy Keery…you can check out the information to order your own HERE.
For this card, I used the Treehouse designer papers from SU!, which I love for masculine cards. This one was for my sister’s boyfriend. I also used the Prep School ribbon, which I think matched great with the dotted papers! I punched a large circle out of the front of the card, and used dimensionals to attach a smaller circle inside the card. It was very easy, but I’m really please with how it came out.
I’m finally jumping into the world of blogging! I can’t wait to fill up my blog with posts and pictures of cards and projects I’ve created. I’m sure it will take me a while to get a handle on all of the blogging ins and outs, so check back in a while and see what I’ve been up to!
