Oh Baby! Challenge

Well how appropriate this challenge is today! As you may have read yesterday, my sister is due to have her third child any day now…yesterday's card was for if she has a boy, so today I made a card for a girl 🙂 I happened upon a new challenge site, called Always Playing with Paper, and imagine that, they're challenge this week is called "Oh Baby!"…make anything baby themed, ha right up my alley!

Here's the thing…I can't believe I have NO baby sets! So I had to turn to the hippo again, since it's the only thing I have even close to baby themed! I colored him in with Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

I stamped the "sweet, little, one" words in Melon Mambo…they're from the awesome new set called Fabulous Phrases. I used Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, a Clear Rhinestone Brad, and Linen Thread for the ribbon treatment. I used the Circles #2 die and Shimmery White card stock for the piece the hippo is stamped on, the new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch for the Melon Mambo behind the hippo. I also pierced the scallops, and textured the Pink Pirouette Circle layer with the Polka Dots embossing folder. The card base is made with the Scallop Circle die for the Big Shot and Shimmery White card stock.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a fabulous day…and I hope I get a phone call that I'm a new auntie again 🙂

  1. So cute, Kerin! I got that sentiment set also, just waiting, waiting, waiting for my SU stuff to arrive. One of the disadvantages of living on the east coast! Hmmm…how did you get YOURS so fast?? Anyway, your circular card is just as sweet as it can be! I love your little tag treatment! Thanks for playing with us!

  2. Kerin, she’s adorable.. the hippo that is! I love the circular card and your color choices are fabulous. The tag, the ribbon and the rhinestone are the perfect embellishments for a girl card.
Thank you for joining the Paper Players this week
    Hugs
