Good morning! I knew I’d be stamping this morning, because it seems my boys and my husband go fishing just about every Sunday morning, and today was no exception…I just didn’t know what I was going to stamp! I started out by going through some of my designer papers to see what I had that would probably be retiring (list will be out tomorrow a.m.!), and lo and behold I found some brushed silver card stock! Remember the other day when I posted about my faux metal tag that I had no silver card stock left? Well I didn’t find a ton, just a few scraps, but still…that was enough to play with for this morning.
I decided to use another frame from my Frames with a Flourish (p. 111) set I received the other day, only this time I put an image in the middle, instead of more embossing to make it a tag…so what would I call it, a faux metal frame? No clue, but I think it’s pretty anyway! For the image in the center I used the new stamp set called Dreams du Jour. That set is just beautiful. I colored the flower/leaves by using blender pens with Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose. I cut out the image and attached it to my “faux metal frame” using dimensionals. The rest of the card is pretty much just layers and pieces from the new Bella Rose designer paper. The card stock is Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red.
See that button in the lower right corner? I’m pretty sure it’s actually upside down, but I don’t care because I like this side better! That’s another fun thing about stamping, just do whatever you please! Those buttons will be another great accessory in the new catalog, and the rest in the pack are beautiful…such a must have!!
You may think the ribbon is some cool new Kiwi Kiss ribbon to coordinate with the new in color, but nope 🙂 I just used our white taffeta ribbon, and dragged it through my Kiwi Kiss stamp pad until it was completely covered in ink, then hit it with the heat tool and voila, custom colored ribbon to match any color ink!
Well that’s all for today, we’re off to a family birthday party, but I will be back her bright and shiny in the a.m. with that retiring accessories list!
