Well good afternoon! I'm so excited because my order of new Stampin' Up! goodies came last night and I got a chance to play today. (well I should say I MADE a chance to play…so many other things I should be doing but this was waaayyyy more fun!)
I used the NEW texturz plates for the Big Shot, this one is called Flourishes. I don't know if anything I make from now on will be "un-textured"!! I also got the Level 1 hostess set called God's Beauty, and boy this one is a beauty. I loved that butterfly the second I saw it.
I stamped my butterfly in Black StazOn, on Shimmery White card stock. You can see the "shimmer" in the bottom picture. I've found that the Shimmery White is pretty good for watercoloring too, the colors blended pretty well. I used Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy for that. Then I cut out the butterfly and curled the wings up a little. I attached it to the card with glue dots just in the middle. The other card stock colors are Baja Breeze and Basic Black.
And how about that new ribbon? It's from the Valet Ribbon Originals and it's so satiny smooth! I was trying to conserve and use as little as possible to make this knot, which of course turned into me pulling it apart and wasting a piece to get a proper, unfrayed knot..I'm guessing you know how that goes.
