First of all, I'd love to shout out a huge thanks to all the girls that came over last night, what a fun time we had! It was such a good time, filled with make-n-takes, door prizes, snacks, a fun color bingo game and more! I'll show you some of the pictures, but what I really wish I had done was take pictures during the night! To see everyone doing they're make-n-takes together, chatting, and enjoying themselves was really a highlight!
I created this Halloween banner, yes I know it's waaayyy too early for Halloween, but I've been having a blast using my new Big Shot and I just couldn't resist making it, because I also had out my spooky jar (see post below) for the girls to see if they'd like to come to class to make one of their very own (thanks to all of you that signed up, that will be another fun night!).
Wanna see some more Big Shot creations? I am loving this machine, and it really made preparation for this party a snap!
These little favors were made using the SU exclusive die called Baskets & Blooms. I also added our 20 year celebration embosslit to the front. Each favor included a Stampin' Up! pen, and some chocolate of course 🙂
This was one of the door prizes, it was all the leftover pieces from the Baskets & Blooms die…there are tons of little flowers and tags! The little cello topper was made using another exclusive SU die called Top Note.
Each person got to get their hands on the Big Shot last night too and I think they were surprised at how easy it is to use! I put out the new pad of 6×6 hostess level 1 designer paper and let each person choose their color/design…then they ran it through the big shot and voila! Instant pillow box. Did you know that the little 6×6 pads are the perfect size for the Bigz Dies? What a great way to use up all those little pieces of designer paper!
Ok, that might be it for Big Shot stuff, but we had lots of door prizes shown below, plus prizes for our color bingo game…ever tried that? It was a good time! You can find any create-your-own bingo card by googling it online, then I just filled in some of the SU colors and we had ourselves a good game!
The girls got tickets throughout the night for different things, there were LOTS of tickets in that little pink box! One big winner at the end of the night won over 60 sheets of 12×12 retired DP, congrats Sara!
Here's the catalog area, I had passed out some of the catalogs early…just one of the benefits of being in a stamper's club, they got them the first day they were available! Everyone else got their catalog last night. I also had a jar filled with little stamps that you cannot purchase, called incentive stamps. Last month with my newsletter I asked them to reply "Big Shot" if they read all the way to the bottom of the newsletter and one person would win a prize from me, well lucky Paula won this whole jar! You never know what kind of treats I may throw in just for getting through my newsletter 🙂 BTW, Thanks Dawn for the beautiful bag! This was what I had all my SU! color swatches in for the bingo game.
Last but not least, make-n-takes! There were two different ones, and here's the set-up…I knew I would not be able to help much because there were a lot of people here, so I typed up step-by-step instructions for each project. There were only 4 seats for each project, but between trying out the Big Shot, checking out my retired stamps for sale at 35% off, snacking and socializing, there was plenty of room. Some day I'll have one of those giant stampin' studios!
The first make-n-take was just like the bookmark we made at convention, I just changed the colors. If you see the favors and make-n-takes, there was kind of a theme with the Maine Blueberry paper colors. I just love that paper!
The second make-n-take was a card idea I got from Angie, which I guess she got from page 97 of the catalog! Just changing the colors and designer papers can make any card "your own" I was in a bit of a crunch deciding what my second make-n-take would be the day before the party, so thanks Angie! This is what happens when you do a huge stamp room clean-out the week before your party…it takes way longer than you think it will (or at least it did for me!) but my stamp room is so nice and clean and roomy now…just perfect for me to make another mess in and start filling up with more stuff!
I also gave the girls a list of new "shares" I'll be doing this year. If you're not familiar with a share, it's a way to get your hands on lots of different stuff for a low price! I'll be posting the details in the next day or two with PayPal links so you can play along too!
So there's the lowdown on last night, I hope all of your girls that came had a good time, and I'll look forward to seeing you again soon!
