Good afternoon stampers! I created this little gift bag today to hold a gift for my mom…I can't tell you what will be tucked away inside…sorry mom, if you're looking at my blog you'll just have to wait 'til we get there 🙂
Anyway, I used two pieces of Old Olive card stock, with a piece of the backing paper from a package of dsp sandwiched in between them, adhered them all together and ran them through my Big Shot with the Top Note die. Then I created an open-topped box for the middle. You knew I'd have to use that fun watercoloring technique again right? I used all of the flowers from the Fifth Avenue Floral set, along with Shimmery White paper, Barely Banana, Cameo Coral and Pretty in Pink inks.
For the leaves, I used my Little Leaves die with Shimmery White paper, then watercolored them after with Old Olive ink. You can really tell from the picture, but I stumbled across a cool thing while making my leaves! You know when you've used your cutting pads WAY too many times and they're all marked up? Well…when you run your Little Leaves die through, all of the scratches in the cutting pad makes it look like the veins of the leaves!! When you add ink, naturally it soaks into the "veins" a little more…pretty cool I thought!
I used Regal Rose wide grosgrain ribbon and a Yellow Fire Square Rhinestone Brad to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by, and I'd like to wish all of the moms out there a great day tomorrow!!!
