More Shimmer Paint

Oh my, I cannot even tell you how much fun I'm having with the new Shimmer Paint that will be in the Holiday Mini! (avail. Sept. 1) I had some more time to play with it this morning, and the effect is growing to be one of my favorites! It gives quick, simple cards that added extra that really makes a difference. I made this card using the Mojo Monday sketch.

This card is SO quick and easy, especially with the help of the new ornament punch that will also be in the Holiday Mini! I inked up my stamp from the Delightful Decorations set with Real Red ink, then I took the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint, and I just picked up the smallest amount using a sponge dauber. I gently tapped the Shimmer Paint all over my inked stamp, then stamped my image and this is what it looks like. I had to give you the side view since it's so different than the head-on view:

Other supplies used in this card:

  • Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper (Holiday Mini)
  • Four the Holiday set (Holiday Mini)
  • Real Red Wide Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Whisper White CS
  • Real Red CS
  • Sahara Sand CS
  • Circles #2 die for the Big Shot
  • Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Wow Kerin, what a great card! I must say that I love those two colors together! That shimmer looks terrific. I am glad to see that it will be part of SU’s mini for the holidays:))

  2. Kerin, I have finally ordered the shimmer paint and should be at the house when I get off of work today. I noticed that you have applied with the sponge daubers and also the little sponge paint brush. Which seems to be the easiest for you? Thanks for all your inspiring work. I use a lot of your ideas and I definitely let my customers know and if I post I link to your site. Thanks for the inspiration.
