About a week or two ago when I was creating my projects for my stamper's club, I was playing around with that beautiful set Bella Blossom, and I made the focal image in this card…at the time I knew I liked the flower, but thought maybe I didn't want to deal with water squirting everywhere during our stamper's club night…so I put it aside, until today. You saw the card I ended up making in this post…not even kinda like this one (well besides using the same flower I guess).
I was cleaning up my stamp table today and found this image and thought it might be nice to turn it into a non-traditional Valentine's card. So here we go…I used the Celery patterns dsp, and I like how the dots in the dsp match the splotches on the flower. Oh yeah, and first of all, I have to tell you that this card looks much better in real life…I don't know what the deal is, but when I first took this picture I thought yuck…anyway, I used my Watercolor Wonder crayons to color my stamp, then sprayed it with a mist of water to get that tie-died look. Hey, how do you like that ribbon? That will be one of the choices during Sale-a-bration next month, it's a beautiful Celery twill ribbon (kind of like the Saffron one we have now, maybe a little narrower?). I also used my Styled Silver hodgepodge, and Fundamental Phrases for the "Love You" (I used Love and markered the word You from For You).
Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping! Speaking of happy stamping, I've got the next 4 days off of work, so I plan on happily stamping a LOT! Besides the fact that it's a whopping 14 degrees here today and I don't even want to step one foot out that door…what better reason to stay in and stamp? That's why they have things like Peapod groceries and Pizza right? Just have it delivered and you never have to go outside!
